We invite other classrooms to Skype with us to learn about upstate New York, its land, its people, how they live, work, and play together. Communities are special places where we learn to appreciate and help each other grow as individuals.
Today, we were fortunate to Skype with a class from Lakeland, Texas. This was a great learning experience, incorporating ELA Standards for reading, writing, listening, and speaking, along with Social Studies Standards relating to economics. Ecology was the discussion after the development of a list of needs and wants. Exciting! This is a great way to teach and learn through collaboration across the globe, both for the students and teachers.
