The Polar Express In Room 109

This week in reading, children read How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Polar Express. Children discussed the author’s purpose of each text and compared the two texts through scaffolds of questions. Each child then wrote Haiku poems about the Grinch. It was a wonderful break to our traditional text. Please check our wiki to see the start of our online writing.
Here is a picture of the class as they boarded the Polar Express.
I hope your holidays were as enjoyable as the time I spent with your children.
Blessings in the New Year as we ignite the light for a love of learning for your child and the children who attend CPCS.
